
Fulbright award for Macquarie Research Fellow
Macquarie University Research Fellow, Dr Ann Vickery has received
a Fulbright Postdoctoral Award to pursue research at Yale University
in the US. Out of nineteen Australians to receive Fulbright awards
in 2001, Vickery was the only one selected for a postdoctoral award.

Silver medal for an actuary with a difference
Professor of Actuarial Studies at Macquarie University, John Pollard,
has been awarded the Silver Medal by the Institute of Actuaries
of Australia (IAAust) in recognition of a long record of outstanding
actuarial work in the service of the profession, business, government
and community, which has brought credit to the profession. The Silver
Medal has only twice previously been awarded.
