Students and volunteers
If you hire and pay students to help at your event they are University employees for the event and their conditions of work are covered under the Macquarie University Enterprise Agreement (unless they are hired under an Australian Workplace Agreement).
Volunteers are not insured under the University's Workers Compensation insurance, however, in the event of an injury, a volunteer may be entitled to the benefits of the University's Personal Accident policy for Volunteers.
