Acknowledgements

Showing your appreciation to stakeholders is crucial for relationship building and future activities that your event can lead to.

Methods of acknowledgement

  • Formal, written thank-you letter
  • Phone call or email
  • Set a time in the Order of Proceedings / Running Sheet to perform the "Thank yous" during your event. Appoint a senior staff member to do it – especially relevant for thanking guest speakers, sponsors, VIP guests, those who travelled far to attend the event, and stakeholders with a notable contribution to the success of your event.
  • Present a gift if appropriate.
