Connect with Macquarie

Two Macquarie University academics have been lauded for their pioneering scientific research at the Australian Museum's 2007 Eureka Prizes for Excellence in Science.

Professor Max Coltheart, Scientific Director of the Macquarie Centre for Cognitive Science, won the prestigious CSIRO Leadership in Science category. Associate Professor Catriona Mackenzie of the Department of Philosophy won the Australian Catholic University Eureka Prize for Research in Ethics.

Optus Engineering Scholarships

Optus is providing two scholarships for students enrolling in the Bachelor of engineering program at Macquarie University for 2008. The scholarships are worth $5000 per year over the four years of the degree.

As part of this scholarship, students will have the opportunity to undertake paid work with Optus for a minimum of 12 weeks.

Anyone applying to enrol in first year engineering at Macquarie in 2008 may apply for an Optus scholarship which will be awarded on a competitive basis.
