Ask about HSC Enrichment
The HSC Enrichment Program is for Year 12 students doing their Higher School Certificate (HSC) in 2006. Courses, which are given by Macquarie University academics at Macquarie University on core and elective subject areas of the HSC syllabus, are designed to assist Year 12 students with their exam preparation.
Courses in the Program consist of either one-day or half-day lectures and/or workshops/laboratory sessions.
The subject areas that are offered in the HSC Enrichment Program are:
Sciences
Information Processes and Technology, Software Design and Development, Biology, Geography, Physics and Chemistry.
Humanities
Modern History and Ancient History.
The HSC Enrichment Program offers students:
- Lectures and practical sessions that provide information and experiences outside of those found in school
- A first-hand experience of the University's facilities and environment and university style teaching
- An invaluable opportunity to discuss issues arising from HSC course-work with academics who are experts in their fields of study, other HSC students and university students
- Course notes that students can take home to use as an additional study resource.
The majority of courses are held in the July school holidays with modern and ancient history holding their programs in the months before and after.
