Bachelor of Science Diploma of Education Scholarships
As a sign of its continued commitment to excellence in education and recognition of the need to encourage prospective students to enter the science teaching profession, Macquarie University offers generous scholarships for students enrolling in the Bachelor of Science/Diploma of Education program.
Up to 10 scholarships are awarded each year and may be awarded to students undertaking the broadly-based program for the Bachelor of Science with the Diploma of Education, registered in the Division of Environmental and Life Sciences or the Division of Information and Communication Sciences, and proceeding to a major in one of the following areas: physics, astronomy and astrophysics, mathematics (combined with information technology), chemistry, biology or geology.
Students must follow the recommended study pattern which is designed to guide them to obtain the qualification required to be employed by the NSW Department of Education and Training (DET).
The scholarships are awarded for four years at $4000 per annum. Students must achieve a GPA of 3.0 per year after the first year to retain their scholarship. For more information, contact Linda Kerr on (02) 9850 9500.
