You’re invited to Experience what Macquarie has to offer
![]() |
High school students, teachers and parents are invited to participate in an innovative program at Macquarie University.
The Macquarie University Experience is designed to introduce students, teachers and parents to the campus, the University’s degree programs and a range of extracurricular activities that enhance the student experience.
Programs have been specifically designed to suit the needs of participants, complement current high school studies and showcase the diverse range of opportunities that Macquarie University offers.
Programs and activities in the Macquarie University Experience include: anatomy in action; astronomy open nights; a workshop on global citizenship; literary theory for HSC teachers; and computing seminars for students, parents and teachers.
Each department involved with the Macquarie Experience Program has designed activities drawing on their own expertise and knowledge:
High school students will benefit from the varied program of activities that complement their current studies and develop their understanding of Macquarie University degrees and student activities.
Teachers can participate in activities designed to further their own professional development and teaching skills.
Parents are invited to attend a series of information evenings that will answer questions and clarify any issues they may have regarding their child studying at university.
Teachers and parents can also benefit from learning more about Macquarie’s degree programs, student life and application procedures.
Activities are scheduled across the year. For most events bookings are essential and as places for some activities are limited, large groups are encouraged to book early.
