Audio visual and multi-media services
Events on campus within the central pool
The Learning and Teaching Centre (LTC) provides audio visual management advice via Audio Visual Technology Services, (AVTS), and support for events held in University teaching rooms and theatres.
AVTS central office is located in W6B 233. You need to contact them well in advance. Call 7571 at least three weeks before the date of hire.
Confirm arrangements in writing at least two weeks prior to the date of hire by filling out a booking request form.
AVTS equipment
AVTS has a range of equipment in rooms and theatres, which include overhead projectors, computers (with Internet access), video players, DVD players, slide projectors, visualisers, public address systems, wireless microphones, fixed microphones, lavaliere microphones and audio inductive loops.
You can also consult the for a complete listing of equipment available in lecture theatres and classrooms across campus.
If your event takes place in a classroom you can operate overhead projectors, self-use DVD/VHS players and TV monitors yourself. There is no additional charge for use of this equipment. You must take care not to disconnect or remove equipment in theatres or classrooms.
When you hire equipment, you will be invoiced for any additional charges, including audio visual and labour charges, 14 days after the date of hire. LTC requires payment within 30 days of date of hire.

The Learning and Teaching Centre (LTC) has media production staff with a wide range of expertise and experience in the areas of desktop publishing and print design. Their services are available to all staff and departments at competitive rates.
Events off campus or not within the central pool
LTC may not support rooms that are not included in the Central Booking Pool like U@MQ Venues in the U@MQBuilding.
If your event is outside the central pool, you may have to organise and pay for audio visual equipment to be supplied by an external company.
