Acknowledgements
It is important to acknowledge your appreciation to people who contributed to your event. It can also be crucial for relationship building and future activities that the event may foster.
Methods of acknowledgement
- Formal, written thank-you letter
- Phone call or email
- Set a time in the Order of Proceedings / Running Sheet to perform the acknowledgements during your event and appoint a senior staff member to do it – especially relevant for thanking guest speakers, sponsors, VIP guests, those who travelled far to attend the event, and any relevant stakeholders with a notable contribution to the success of your event.
- Present a gift if appropriate.
